The Paper Cinema comes back to Portugal and to the Alentejo after their participation in the 2009 edition of the Festival *. In Cerveira Biennial the group has an artistic residency on their latest work, Odyssey, based on the homonymous work by Homer and also presents Night Flyer & King Pest. In Alentejo, the group presents episodes of its latest creation, and also conducts a workshop for children and adults.
The work of The Paper Cinema can be described as a crossing point between theater of objects, music and animated film, telling stories not through the use of words, only images and music, one and another performed live. So that magic can happen, all that is required are sets and paper figures drawn by hand, a table, some lamps for a diffused lighting and a camera to capture the image. This is processed and projected in real time, with a soundtrack performed live. A show for the whole family, which will delight children and adults.
