To our audience we can only say: [... this]
is another moment in which our bodies dialogue with our surroundings.
Márcio Pereira
Inspired by the work of the North-American choreographer
Trisha Brown,
Floor of the Forest (1971), in which the creator attempts to dissociate movement from form transforming body into research material and constant analysis, as well as by the creations by
Cie. Willi Dorner, in which bodies are inscribed in metropolitan architectures, Oficina Movimento (Movement Workshop) intervenes in the urban landscape of Évora.
Departing from documentation material available to all in the extremely wide horizon of YouTube that
Márcio Pereira - creator and director of
Oficina Movimento - challenges young participants to embody these works by great references from contemporary dance and, with those re:create the architecture of the city of Évora.
