Nada do que dissemos até agora teve a ver comigo (
Nothing we’ve said by now is about me) was developed from a workshop on oral improvisation, started at SKITe/Sweet & Tender Collaborations (2008), and presented at Fundação de Serralves within the
Cicle
"DOCUMENTE-SE" Registo na 1ª pessoa"
(2009). The work takes as its core concern the construction / narration of identity, applied to text improvisation.
Nada do que dissemos até agora teve a ver comigo - to be continued follows the same research approach, proposing the construction of a theatrical and visual fiction based on a dialogue between the work of the visual artist and film director Luciana Fina about the filmed portraid.
The first stage of this work's creative process is hosted by the Festival Escrita na Paisagem, in a partnership with the Municipality of Fundão. Pursuing the concept "performance of everyday life", by the sociologist Erwin Goffman. The documentation and encounter betwee people from different generations and with different profiles will be the grounds to develop a work of writing and experimentation with a group of three performers (Carla Bolito, Cláudio da Silva e Nuno Lucas). Based on the notions of portrait, autobiographic testimony, as well as on the relationship with the audiovisual material previously recorded, a dialogue between documentation and its expansion into the theatrical realm emerges. The project dives into a
ré:pèrage of the social body’s orality and gestuality, to appear in a performance about different aspects of the performance of the self within the public space. A
re:play that is a
re:criation of the self, emerging from a research about the archive of autobiographic documentation.
