On the RoadTó Trips & Tiago Gomes PT Music and re:reading of Jack Kerouac's On the Road July 8th, 12PM Espaço Celeiros, Évora Tó Trips (guitar and various sound effects) and Tiago Gomes (reading) re:visit the mythic book by Jack Kerouac in a concert that leads us into the journey of all journeys, to route 66 and the America of all dreams. With the video-beat by Raquel Castro as background, the show echoes all the world’s roads, all speed ways, secondary roads, desert, cities lost in the night, and dead ends. Tiago Gomes was born in 1971; four of his books are edited and sold out. Songwriter for the music groups A NAIFA and LINHA DA FRENTE. Singer and songwriter in the group INSPECTORES. Editor and producer of the magazine BÍBLIA. Founder of Galeria ZDB. Performer who have been dedicating his work to poetry-in-action a long time now. He is also known as DJ VAIPES when he plays records. He is producer of parties featuring music bands and djs. Since 1986 he takes part in music bands, during the 80’s he was part of AMEN SACRISTI, during the 90’s of SANTA MARIA GASOLINA EM TEU VENTRE, in this band he recorded a maxi, which was re-edited two years ago by SABOTAGE. After this band he played for ten years in LULU BLIND and with this group he recorded three albums: DREAD, BLAST, and FOGE DE TI. Then he integrated the band HI FI Jï and THE TYSONS. Since 2001 he is part of a band called DEAD COMBO, with which he recorded four albums: GUITARS FROM NOTHING, VOL. I, QUANDO A ALMA NÃO É PEQUENA, and LUSITÂNIA PLAYBOYS. He has been playing in hundreds of concerts in Portugal, Spain, Italy, France, Nederland, United Kingdom, and Germany. Long live rock ‘n roll! André Breton wrote a text edited in Les Pas Perdus called Give everything away: Give everything away. Give away Dada. Give away your wife, give away your misstress. Put your children at the end of the woods. Give away the rush for the shadow. Give away a easy life if necessary, that which is given to you for a future situation. Walk those roads away. |
